Vintage 18k Gold French Heart Pendant les Amoureux de Peynet
Collector Vintage French Pendant in 18k depicting the "Amoureux de Peynet".
The front has a matte finish, and the back a shiny finish with the inscription "Les Amoureux de Peynet, gravé par Contaux", which means "the Peynet lovers, engraved by Contaux", Contaux being the manufacturer.
Raymond Peynet was a French cartoonist who was born in Paris in 1908. He is known for having created the couple of lovers "les amoureux de Peynet" in 1942 which he represented through a variety of mediums, including ceramics, posters, jewelry, postcards, and postage stamps.
Details:
The pendant dates from the 1970s. It is stamped with the Eagle Head at the jump loop, French hallmark for 18k solid gold. It is also stamped "750" at the loop.
Condition:
It is in very good vintage condition, the front is pristine and at the back the engraving are slightly worn off, please inspect the photos.
The pendant does not come with a chain.
