Art Deco blue guilloché enamel large locket with hand-painted roses

Statement Art Deco silver locket with baby blue guilloché enamel. The locket features hand-painted roses at the front, and a guilloché pattern on both sides.

Guilloché enamel is a decorative technique that involves engraving intricate, repeating patterns onto a metal surface, typically using a lathe. The engraved pattern is then covered with translucent enamel, allowing the design to show through, creating a luminous and textured effect.

In addition, this piece features exquisite hand-painted roses and gold dots on the front facet.

Details:

The locket dates from the Art Deco era, 1920s. It is stamped 935 at the jump ring for silver and also with the maker mark: letters L and M separated by a shooting star.

Condition:

The locket is in very good antique condition, with one chip of the top surface of the enamel at the bottom right of the front facet, extending toward the middle, please inspect the photos. The back side is in excellent condition. Inside one of the two original rings is present.

The locket closes tightly with a snap. The bail is original, soldered and bares hallmarks.
