Austro-Hungarian 14k gold four-leaf clover locket with enamel

Incredible antique Austrian locket in 14k solid gold with a four-leaf clover.

The enamel is in excellent condition and beautifully detailed with various shades of green and visible leaf veins.
It is very rare to find a 19th century enamel and solid gold piece in such condition.

Details:
The locket was made in Austria. It is stamped at the top loop with the fox head, see zoomed in picture. The fox head has a little number 4 next to it which corresponds to gold purity 14-karat in the Austrian system, and the letter A for city of manufacture Vienna. That stamp was used between 1866 and 1872, during the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

Condition:
It is in overall excellent antique condition. Some little dents at the back, please inspect the photos, as well as gentle surface wear and scratches. The enamel is in excellent condition. The locket shuts very tightly, and it is also a bit difficult to open. It is recommended to keep it shut.
