Art Deco 18k Gold Tie Pin with rubies and diamonds

Antique tie bar in 18k white and yellow gold with gemstones.

Square rubies are bezel set in a yellow gold circular setting with milgrain border. The rest of the front of the brooch is made of white gold, the diamonds are rose cut and also mounted in milgrain settings.

The brooch closes with a trombone clasp typical of French antique jewellery. The back of the brooch is made of yellow gold.

Details:

The pin dates from the Art Deco era, 1920s. It is stamped with the French hallmark for 18k gold, the eagle head, and the "poinçon de maître", French maker mark that consists of initials or logo in a triangle. There is also a series of digits hand-engraved inside, 15360.

Condition:

The pin is in excellent antique condition, opens and closes securely.
