Art Deco Guilloché Enamel Silver Locket with hand-painted roses
Beautiful Art Deco locket with purple and white guilloché enamel and hand-painted roses.
The locket has enamel work on the front facet. The back is plain.
Guilloché enamel is a decorative technique that involves engraving intricate, repeating patterns onto a metal surface, typically using a lathe. The engraved pattern is then covered with translucent enamel, allowing the design to show through, creating a luminous and textured effect.
Details:
The locket dates from the Art Deco era, 1920s. It is stamped 800 at the top loop.
Condition:
The locket is in very good antique condition. The enamel is well preserved. There is one dent at the back, please inspect the photos.It closes tightly with a snap. The bale is original and soldered, and inside one of the original ring can be found.
It does not come with a chain.
