Details:
The pendant dates from the Art Nouveau era, circa 1900.
It is stamped "FIX" at the back. FIX is a brand that was created in Paris in 1829 by François-Auguste Savard, and refers to a thick 18k gold plating. FIX platings are typically made of 20 to 40microns of 18k gold while nowadays only 3 to 5microns is enough for a jewel to qualify as gold plated. Jewels holding this stamp are therefore robust and meant to last, they often show very little wear, even after more than 100 years old !

It is in excellent antique condition with light surface wear, scratches and patina.
It comes with a new 18" gold plated stainless steel 304 chain.
